Quadrennial Assembly for APPA 24 September 2025

APPA will be part of the upcoming 61st PAP convention and 8th ARUPS congress which will be held in Cebu, Philippines from September 25th to September 27th 2025. For more details please refer to the website here.

We will also be having our quadrennial assembly for the APPA on Wednesday 24th September 2025 at 9am. The agenda for the meeting is as follows:

Details of the election process

The Constitution of APPA indicates the following:

Article 19

• The Assembly shall elect an Executive Committee, for a four-year term, to manage the affairs of APPA.
• The Executive Committee shall comprise the five Officers mentioned below and up to four regular members elected by the Assembly.
• The Officers of the Alliance are the Chair, Chair-Elect, Past-Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer.
• The Executive Committee shall serve from the termination of the Assembly until the next Assembly, provided that the outgoing Officers brief and do a hand-over no later than the first meeting of the incoming Executive Committee at the termination of the Assembly.
• No member of the Executive Committee may serve on the Executive Committee for more than two consecutive terms unless that person stands for Chair Elect.
• The Chair shall Chair the Executive Committee. Another Officer shall assume the chair should the Chair be unavailable at the start of the meeting.
• The Executive Committee shall meet at least annually, telephonically, electronically or face-to-face.

All executive positions on the Committee including Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer and the two members of the Executive Committee thathave reached the end of their term, as such all positions (i.e. the Chair, Chair-Elect, Secretary, Treasurer and four members of the Executive Committee) are open for election (as we have only been running for one term we have not as yet had a Past Chair). As all current members of the executive committee have to date only completed a single term, all current members of the executive are eligible to re-nominate for election. All vacant positions will be available for nomination by the members of the Assembly by nomination from the floor.
